Melissa Buchanan, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse with significant experience caring for cardiology patients. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she graduated from Florida State University and earned her professional degree and advanced nursing certification at the University of Miami in Coral Gables. Prior to joining AdventHealth Medical Group's premier cardiac specialty practice, she worked at a private cardiology clinic in Winter Park for several years. She has been affiliated with AdventHealth Orlando since 2012 and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honors Society. Differentiators: Melissa collaborates with her patients on a personal level to achieve common goals in managing their chronic conditions. She also incorporate wellness and prevention initiatives to further facilitate positive outcomes.
