Located in Kissimmee, Fla., the Kissimmee Police Department operates through the bureau of operational services and bureau of administrative services. Its operational services consists of canine, police response, special services, community relations, neighborhood resource, school crossing guards, traffic, criminal investigation enforcement, school resource officers and property crimes divisions. The Kissimmee Police Department conducts and supports several neighborhood watch and community outreach programs, including parking enforcement and police explorers. The department also maintains communication, recruitment and selection, professional standards, internal affairs and training units. In addition, the Kissimmee Police Department has a special weapons and tactics team that undertakes cases for high-risk incidents, including counter sniper incidents, barricaded suspects, hostage situations, civil disorder, high-risk search and arrest warrants, dignitary protection, and surveillance and decoy operations.
