The Pediatric Care Center is a 25-plus-bed unit that provides a range of clinical care services. It features private rooms, as well as offers primary and specialty care solutions for medical and surgical patients. The center serves children up to the age of 19. Its south wing is a 5-plus-bed pediatric intensive care unit that serves the children of Hillsborough and eastern Pasco counties in Florida. The center additionally features a waiting room. It is a part of University Community Hospital, which is a nonprofit community health care system that serves the residents of the Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas areas. The hospital serves more than 100,000 patients annually. It is accredited by The Joint Commission.
