General Info
My designs are set apart from all the other landscapers out there based on these 5 principles: 1. Plant selection. In order for your new landscape to look natural when newly installed, it should look as if it has been there for several years. Size does matter. We attempt with every design to install larger plants, incorporating texture and color, with the best spacing, and the best coverage. 2. Value. Given a reasonable budget, our installations will give you the most for your money and investment. Landscaping is the easiest way to enhance your home's value and double your money on that investment. A far greater bang for your buck than say a new kitchen or bath-it's all about curb appeal! 3. Low Maintenance. My landscape designs are based upon sound gardening principles. Plant the right plant, in the right spot, the right way, and it will give you years of enjoyment. Whether a full sun landscape or full shade. My landscapes are designed to last. Spacing is always concentrated upon so that renovating a overly planted landscape in a short time will not be necessary. See the landscapes portfolio for spacing examples. Some of those landscapes are at least 5-7 years old! Plants are selected for the area to be planted that will have a high tolerance to insect and disease pressures, which reduces the need for excessive fertilization and pesticide applications. 4. Lots of color. Look at the portfolio of my work. All have more color and texture than what is being offered by other landscapers. Too many landscapers concentrate on just the green. Why not have reds, yellows, blues, purples, greens and flowers to compliment? I design landscapes to give you year round enjoyment. Color, texture and form make your landscape enjoyable, even in the winter. We specifically use perennials that will flower spring, summer, and fall in every landscape. 5. Natural Products. Here is where my designs really are set apart from the rest. I avoid using man made hard escape products in landscape installations. Natural stone is best to compliment your home and gardens. Stamped concrete products eventually look dated, trendy, and somewhat commercial whereas Bluestone does not. Bluestone is timeless! Most landscape contractor's work looks great but then it's just like everyone else's. This is because stamped concrete products are too often relied upon in their designs and the color and texture of the plants are often not given much consideration. My landscape's are unique and will set your home apart. Bluestone from Pennsylvania and New York is commercially known as bluestone or Pennsylvania Bluestone. These are a group of sandstones defined as feldspathic greywacke. The sand-sized grains from which bluestone is constituted were deposited in the "Catskill Delta" during the Middle to Upper Devonian Period of the Paleozoic Era, approximately 370 to 345 million years ago.
