  This hip replacement treatment option is designed to relieve the pain caused by joint degeneration due to arthritis. With the new MAKOplasty system, CVOSM can offer patients a personalized surgical experience tailored to their individual alignment. Using a CT scan, the surgeon uses a 3D model of the hip to design an individualized surgical plan. The robotic arm allows the surgeon to achieve precise alignment with the implants, less cutting and drilling of the bone, and less soft tissue involvement. This leads to decreased pain and swelling after surgery, allowing the patient to experience a faster and easier recovery. Patients are also experiencing a shorter length of stay in the hospital and decreased need for opiate analgesics.

Dr. Harding has published several papers and presented at national orthopedic meetings. He has been recognized as one of America's top Orthopedic Surgeons for over 7 years.   Alex grew up in the small town of DuBois, Pennsylvania. The son of a physical therapist, he has been around the field his entire life and knew from an early age that he would pursue a career in it. Alex attended Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he received his undergraduate degree In Sports and Exercise Science as well as his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting since graduation and has a strong interest in manual therapy, fitness, and sports rehabilitation. Outside of the workplace, Alex enjoys traveling with his wife, running, reading, and watching soccer.
