General Info
The L.A. Hearne Company has been owned and managed by the same local family since its establishment in 1938. The first products that were handled and processed were the locally grown crops of dry beans and grain. The company is a major distributor of lima beans. Beans and grain were eventually complemented by sales of feed to local livestock producers. Several new divisions have been added to diversify and better serve the changing needs of its customers. These divisions include a large liquid and dry fertilizer application and blending division, as well as a seed division handling field. Retail operations feature several large and interesting divisions, such as western wear, fencing, animal health and tack, and livestock and pet foods. The L.A. Hearne Company maintains its corporate headquarters at 512 Metz Rd. King City, Calif.
