Emergency preparedness requires a significant investment in staff and resources. It requires constant staffing of the emergency department, laboratories, the radiology department, pharmacy, surgical services, general and intensive care units, labor and delivery and other areas.

- General SurgerySurgical Services provides both inpatient and outpatient surgery, and offers a variety of surgical specialties in the area. Anesthesiologists ensure the highest level of quality is maintained. Pre-surgery coordinators give each patient instructions prior to their surgery and answer any questions the individual or family has. Post-operative follow-up and communication gives patients information about what to expect after surgery, information about medications, pain management and signs to watch for that could indicate a post-surgical problem or issue.
