General Info
On Sept. 19, 1992, Blue Heaven Restaurant cooked and served black beans, rice and fish to its first lunch customers on painted picnic tables under a tropical almond tree in its outdoor dining area in Florida. The outdoor courtyard is paved with the slate pool table tops from the days the downstairs of the building operated as a billiard hall and ice cream parlor. A dance hall, a bordello and a playhouse have occupied the second floor of the restaurant s location. Breakfast items include pancakes, seafood and lobster benedict, granola, omelettes, fruit cups and a la carte items. Lunch items include soups, salads, sandwiches, fish, tortillas, vegetable plates, cheese steak and desserts. Dinner items include a variety of appetizers, shrimp, chicken dinners, pork tenderloin, New York strip steak, tuna, dolphin, beef tenderloin and desserts. The restaurant also has catering and banquet menus available. Blue Heaven Restaurant is located in Key West, Fla.

What a gem to find! Had the eggs Benedict! Great tucked in amongst the trees! Chickens running around coffee was great too! Definitely worth the trip !
So charming! The atmosphere and ambiance was old town, artsy funky Key West... festive but relaxing. Beautiful outdoor seating surrounded by trees, vegetation and funky art! The service was great and the food simply sumptuous- someone told us about this place and we're glad we went.
No trip to Key West would be complete without a meal at this onetime brothel. I've heard brunch is the better option, which is what I tried. Great, stick-to-your rib breakfast food and one of the best slabs of key lime pie on the island. It's al fresco dining, and chickens roam at your feet freely. They don't take reservations for Sunday brunch, so expect a long wait. My recommendation: put your name on the wait list, then hop a few blocks over to tour the Hemingway house while you wait. (They'll text when your table is ready).

very bright and cheerful atmosphere. Delightful staff service was quick and waitress knowledgeable. Never had lobster before for breakfast and will come for the lobster Benedict with key lime hollandaise sauce.
No more cats! But it is all outside. They have super tall meringue on their key lime pie, so if u like that enjoy! I don't care for lots of meringue, so it wasn't ideal for me, but i still enjoyed it. The bartenders were very accommodating, they made me a vanilla milk shake & its not even on the menu. & they made my sister in law a vanilla milk shake w/ Kahlua in it, & she loved it. My husband's step dad would have stayed in there the whole vacation if we'd have let him.

I love Blue Heaven; it's my favorite restaurant in Key West and I've been coming here for over 20 years and now live here. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is totally authentic, unpretentious, island-style with a friendly staff and you can play ping-pong while waiting for your table or after you've eaten. They have a great tiki-style bar where they serve a delicious Mojito.
I love the Blue Heaven. They have some of the best entertainment in Key West.
