Roquette America is a wet-milling facility that specializes in processing corn for distribution to clients in the food industry. It wet-mills corn producing high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, specialty starches, dextrose, mannitol, sorbitol, maltitol and other corn-derived products. Uses for corn syrup and high fructose include baking, beverages, brewing, canning, confectionery, dairy and soft drinks. The company is a subsidiary of France-based Roquette Frres, one of the world's leading producers of sugarless sweeteners and one of the largest starch producers in the world. Roquette America is headquartered in Keokuk, Iowa. Keokuk became Roquette's United States corporate headquarters in June 1991, following Roquette America's acquisition of the Hubinger Company.
