Established in 1976, ElderHealth Northwest has been operational for more than 25 years and is one of the one of the oldest health care providers of adult day-care in the United States. It maintains ElderFriends, which is a nonprofit, volunteer-based program that provides companionship, outreach and advocacy to isolated older adults in the Greater Seattle area. ElderHealth Northwest has partnerships with several physicians, elder law attorneys, and home health and care providers. In addition, the health care provider works with skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and adult family and retirement homes. With a location in Kent, Wash., ElderHealth Northwest offers care management services by helping families and assessing elder care needs, as well as recommending appropriate placement services.
