General Info
The Credit Union was established for the Miners of Ray, Arizona in 1955. The mining towns of Ray, Sonora, Barcelona have all since been closed and the area mined for copper. In 1965 the physical building was built for the credit union in Kearny AZ where we have been in business ever since. We are proud to be able to provide financial services to all the employees, past and present of the Copper Mine, ASARCO Ray mines division, and more recently the employees of any Business situated within 30 miles of the Credit Union, who have signed up for services. Ray Federal Credit Union is a non profit institution, where the members are the Credit Union's owners. The Board of Directors is elected each year by the members of the Credit Union. The Board of Directors approves changes in policies, dividends, and loan rates to help make Ray Federal Credit Union one of the most Successful Credit unions in the industry. In addition, like other federally chartered Credit Unions, member's shares are insured up to $250, 000.00 by the NCUA ( National Credit Union Association ), an agency of the federal government.
