Founded in September 2004, the High School of the Pacific invites gifted students from 12 nations to pursue a challenging academic course combined with multicultural character education. With initial support from philanthropic peace visionaries Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, HSP has benefited also from the expertise and contributions of many who are not named as staff or faculty. Just a few are mentioned below: This tremendous opportunity became reality by a generous investment in the education of specially gifted island children through the vision and initiative of Rev. Dr. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon. As an expression of thanks to them and to all who have endeavored so long and hard to make this school a reality, the staff and students of the High School of the Pacific offer their heartfelt gratitude.
