I have been shopping at Charles Department Store all my life. I used to go there with my family to buy shoes and over the years I have become a customer myself. What I love about the store is that they always remember my name and they know about their products. I know when I shop there I know I am getting a good product from a store that stands behind what it sells. If I ever have a question they are only a phone call away....even if it is just to find out what time the parade in town starts.

I moved to Katonah about four months ago and found the greatest store. I had just gotten out of college and didn't have any good kitchen gear or grilling "stuff". When I got to the store the staff really helped me find the right stuff to deck out the new apartment. They really have a knowledgeable staff and high quality merchandise. Thanks guys!

I have been shopping at Charles Department Store for more than 30 years. Their excellent personal service and amazing attention to detail has made me a customer for life. It's one of those shopping experiences where you can find top-notch products at reasonable prices.Dave and Jim Raneri continue a family tradition of selecting products which have been personally selected based on their functionality and durability.From shoes to clothing to housewares and kitchen items, to barbecues, to gourmet specialties it's the place to make your purchases. Over the decades there have been a couple of items that had a manufacturer's defect. Without question the item was exchanged and I left a more than satisfied customer. Shops like "Charles" is what make Katonah special and why members of the community must continue to patronize local merchants at this risk of them disappearing much like Fox and Sutherland and the Bedford Barn. The only negative? I miss Bob who used to fix TVs and radios!
