EMJ Metals has more than 25,000 different bars, tubings, plates and various other metal products. It specializes in cold finished carbon and alloy bars, mechanical tubing, stainless bars and shapes, aluminum bars, shapes and tubes, hot-rolled carbon and alloy bars. As part of its inventory management services, it schedules deliveries in the quantities and at the times required by just-in-time manufacturing processes employed by growing manufacturing companies and provides its customers with an on-time product delivery guarantee. It operates in one segment, the metals service center industry, through a network of more than 30 service and processing centers located throughout North America, including four service centers in Canada. It maintains an additional facility in Kansas City, Mo.
