Clarkson Construction Company is one of the largest and most diversified construction entities in the Midwest. Clarkson has a 50 percent ownership in Superior-Bowen Asphalt. Clarkson, in partnership with Ash Grove Aggregates, also operates a quarry company titled Johnson County Aggregates. The Clarkson family operates Everett Holding Company, which in turn operates Everett Quarries, an aggregate producer located in Plattsburg, Miss., and Micro-Lite, a producer of agricultural products. Total Risk Management, manages the safety, insurance and security issues for all Clarkson companies. Services provided by Clarkson and its subsidiaries include clearing and grubbing, demolition, earth and rock excavation and grading concrete and asphalt paving. Established in 1880, Clarkson Construction is a sixth-generation and family-owned company that specializes as a heavy, highway and site work contractor.
