General Info

Dr. Peter Downey is certified by the American Board of Surgery with a subcertification in surgical critical care, as well as the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic and transplant surgery at Duke University Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in anesthesiology critical care medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He earned his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed residencies at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the University of California Los Angeles.
