Stayed at American Inn on Splitlog Rd twice. My first visit got a room that was not nice. Went to off explained they accommodated me by giving us a better room. Next visit was very aggravating. Front desk rep was rude and a liar. She put me in a room that had roaches in it, mildew, mold and none working tv. Told her about room and she send a maintenance man man to spray. Then she tells me he said he didn't see any bugs. So, I asked to be moved to another room like I had before (by the way it was empty) she would not move me there. They also keep your credit card information on file. Don't like that. It was a NIGHTMARE ON SPLITLOG STREET. Will never stay there again and would not refer to friends or family. Run do not stay there.

Very Friendly Staff...clean room...stayed at the American Motel off I-70 and 78th Street on my way from Colorado to Chicago. Will definatly stay again on the way back thru!
