After receiving his doctor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin, Dr. Zakaria went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois.Dr. Zakaria specializes in the treatment of a wide variety of neurosurgical pathologies, including brain and spinal tumors, brain and spinal trauma, spinal degenerative conditions, and peripheral nerve conditions. He is passionate about providing outstanding and accessible neurosurgical care in the community through informed discussions with patients and their families. In addition to his formal training, Dr. Zakaria has numerous peer-reviewed publications and is a member of multiple professional neurosurgical societies including the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
