I was really impressed by the overall service at the Volkswagen Service Center. I brought my car in around noon and it was serviced same day. During the wait, I received a complimentary shuttle service, which really saved me a lot of inconvenience.
Dropped in to have a fuel filter replaced. Was told that was a "Service Express" item and there was a 2.5 hour wait. I asked if I could make an appointment to have it done and was told no appointments for that kind of service and that I would have to wait or come at another time in hope the wait time was less. I'll be going to Tuffy's from now on where I can schedule an appointment and get the standard services done for 30% of the price charged here.
I did talk with the service manager Steve, who didn't really care how much of an inconvenience this was. Told me that was our policy. Why? because that's our policy.
Okay, so I won't be going back there again.
It does not get better than this. The service writer (Jeff) is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He personifies "personal service." Davie, the Volvo master mechanic, is unrivaled. In the decade he has worked on our cars (actually even longer than that) he's always managed to diagnose the problem correctly on the first visit and fix it! Our only experiences with having to bring our cars back more than once were in situations where the dealership had to order a part. Then we got the same great service when it arrived. When Jeff is not there, the other service writers make sure we get what we need. Auto service is not inexpensive. But we have always felt that we were treated fairly and got good value for our money.
Before we found Maple Hill, we used 3 other dealerships and left each one for either poor service (many return trips for the same problem), price gouging or dishonesty.
Bad services and I am afraid they overcharge for services.
Do not do business with folks unless you want deal with poor service. And don't buy the ugly little
girls in their ads on tv for any type of trusts of products or service. Maybe they will lose the dealership
for vw we can only hope so.
