My regular doctor is located here, and when I see him by appointment, it's great. He has been a great doctor! After seeing 3 other doctors, he was the first one to see me and listen to me; and believe me about my pain, and get treated for it. The Urgent care part of this facility is a little less satisfying. Even if you get there right as they open, it still takes at least an hr, or 2 to be seen. (there is always a line of people as soon as they open) If you get there anyother time, you can wait up to 3hr, easily. Then, depending on the doc. you will be treated well (nurses are always pleasant), but you could be rushed out. You have to put your foot down anytime you visit any doc if they are not taking real time out to see you and listen to you. It can be better than the hospital, but if you have children under about 4, you'll still have to go to hospital, so go there first.

Would never use this facility again. They claim to be urgent/walk in care clinic which to general public would believe have after hours and weekends to seek care that does not warrant trip to emergency room, watch for the charge on your bill. This is why medicaid recipients head to the ER.
The care I got from west side family medica center was good, Only one problem and its a big problem to me, they say that they are a urgent care center which is covered by my insurance which cost alot and not good insurance. To find out they are actually a Immediate care and not a urgent care I have to pay the whole bill. Seems like they should not be able to put urgent care on the website and signs at the building, Like false advertising.
I visited urgent care because of severe ear pain and was sure I had an ear infection. The doctor barely looked in my ear and said that I had bruised it. I left feeling stupid but a few days later when the pain had not dissipated, I went to Bronson where I was properly diagnosed/treated. I feel that if the WSFM doctor had spent a second or two more with me and asked me more questions, it would not have taken two apointments for a simple diagnosis. (This translates to two medical bills and an expensive prescription to treat the prolonged infection.)
