Dr. Christ met his wife during his residency program in Kalamazoo and they decided southwest Michigan is where they wanted to live and raise their family. As a matter of fact, all three of their children share Dr. Christ’s passion, as they are all currently pursuing careers in the healthcare field. Dr. Christ feels a special connection to Kalamazoo and the community as a whole, including his commitment to the orthopedic residency and medical education program. He also serves as medical director of orthopedic services at Bronson Methodist Hospital. Dr. Christ loves to help people. He specializes in joint replacement and treatment of arthritic conditions of the hip and knee. He is very grateful, and uniquely qualified, to perform anterior hip replacement surgery. If patients get to the point where they just can’t walk, can’t function, can’t work, Dr. Christ loves to help give them their life back.Each patient is unique and different, and therefore needs treatment and advice tailored to his or her own lifestyle and/or situation. I view a very important part of my role as a physician to be first and foremost a teacher. I help each patient choose a treatment method which is most appropriate for them.
