- HypothyroidismCancer treatments associated with fatigue include chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, radiation therapy, biological therapy, and combination or sequential therapy. Physical therapy can help cancer patients recover from the following conditions...
- UltrasoundThis is different from a diagnostic ultrasound, which is used during pregnancy. Instead, therapeutic ultrasound  provides relieving deep heating to tendons, joints, ligaments, muscles, and other soft tissues in the body. The heat increases circulation to the tissues being treated, which is believed to provide healing benefits. The heat generated with the treatment is also effective for alleviating pain, improving joint mobility, and increasing the speed of the recovery process. It can also be set in such a way to decrease inflammation.
- Chemotherapy
- IontophoresisIontophoresis  is used to decrease inflammation. Medication is administered into the body through the skin using  iontophoresis, which is a type of electrical stimulation. There is a bit of chemistry involved in explaining why the treatment is effective. In essence, a medication ionically charged with a negative charge has a negative electrical charge applied to it. Then the negative electricity will push away the medication or repel it into your tissues, when a positive charge is applied on another part of your body. It is extremely effective, because unlike taking an oral (by mouth) anti-inflammatory that may circulate through your whole body, this acts on a small targeted area, allowing it to be highly effective.

- SciaticaPatients who have suffered a stroke or spinal cord injury also greatly benefit from this type of electrical stimulation. Electrical stimulation  is also used for pain relief.
