Here's the story: Family run hazel nut/walnut commercial dryer. Started in the 1890's on River Road and moved to Alvadore in the 1930's.They dry nuts for commercial growers in bulk and smaller lots for individuals. The retail store sells local grown dried walnuts and filberts, custom prunes, local honey and Oregon wild rice. The store is open usually around the first week of October and closes around the second week of December, always best to call first. This is the place to buy fresh harvested nuts that are the real deal. The owners Bill and his son Willy are very knowledgable on the subject of the full circle of life of the jewel of the Willamette Valley (hazel nut/filbert) as they are also growers. Very Old school operation and Bill is the Head Master !
