Joppatowne Elementary School, also known as JES, is an educational institution that enrolls more than 500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. The school has been in operation since 1965. It operates the Gifted and Talented and LAUNCH programs. The school also administers various enrichment, special education, and before- and after-school care programs. Joppatowne Elementary School organizes cultural arts and family oriented activities, as well as field trips. In addition, it operates a parent-teacher association. The school maintains a media center and classrooms. It employs a staff of over 20 individuals and offers transportation and food services. The school offers classes in English, reading skills and mathematics. Joppatowne Elementary School is governed by Harford County Public Schools.
