General Info
Cornerstone Animal Hospital has been engaged in providing quality pet care for our neighbors for over twenty-six years. Cornerstone Animal Hospital is an AAHA ( American Animal Hospital Association) certified hospital. Cornerstone Animal Hospital is a full service hospital offering both medical and surgical care for dogs and cats. We also provide care for birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, and other small mammals. Our digital radiography allows us to detect many small and subtle problems not seen on traditional x-rays. Our in house laboratory allows us to determine the cause of illness for our patients in a few minutes to a few hours in most situations, allowing us to start appropriate treatment without delay. We preform routine surgeries such as neuters and spays. In addition, we also perform more complex procedures such as orthopedic surgery and soft tissue surgery involving cancer and other complex issues. Cornerstone Animal Hospital offers many unique services such as our advanced dentistry periodontal surgery, basic orthodontics, and endodontic treatment (root canals). We have a special interest in helping our aging patients live long, comfortable, and quality lives. Many of these patients quietly suffer from arthritis and other slow life-robbing health problems. We are pleased to offer a combination of options (therapeutic laser and acupuncture) other than drugs to manage these problems. As of January 2014 American Association of Feline Practitioners has certified Cornerstone Animal Hospital as a Cat Friendly Practice. In addition to traditional medical care, we offer alternative medical treatments options. Alternative medicine is used in conjunction with traditional, or as a sole method of treatment for many medical and painful conditions. The use of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine is very beneficial to older patients with chronic medical conditions. Our internet store allows you to buy many of the health care products for your pet at home at your convenience. Shipping is always free on all purchases. Another service offered is grooming - summer cuts, mat removal, baths, nail trims, nail grinding, and flea dips. Boarding is available with Saturday and Sunday drop-offs or pick-ups in the afternoon at 4:30 if scheduled. We believe continuing our education - staying informed on new and changing techniques and treatments - is important in order to provide you the best service. While only required to have ten hours of continuing education per year, we spend forty to one hundred hours in advance training per year in order to offer your pets the best care possible.
