The Clayton County Transportation and Development Department is a multi-disciplined work force with the responsibility of providing the residents of Clayton County with a safe, efficient and economical transportation system, as well as managing land development quality controls and environmental services such as storm water management and solid waste disposal. The department s responsibilities include road closings, blasting notices, construction projects, engineering services, green space, land development, public works, traffic engineering, traffic control center management and the management of the Clayton County airport. The Clayton County Transportation and Development Department operates from offices in Jonesboro, Ga.
