Aux Sable Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as language arts, social studies, mathematics and science. The school additionally conducts classes in art, music, computers, family and consumer science, and health and physical education. Aux Sable Middle School s staff is comprised of counselors, media specialists, social workers, speech pathologists, diagnosticians and an instructional technology specialist. It has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, and track and field. The school s facilities include a learning laboratory, playground, media center and cafeteria. In addition, Aux Sable Middle School has art, drama, technology, science and choir clubs. It has a parent-teacher organization that organizes several fundraising events. The school is located in Joliet, Ill., and is a part of Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202.
