GapVax started from humble beginnings in 1977 as GAP Pollution and Environmental Control. It was after a major flood in Johnstown, Pa., that the company purchased one used septic truck for pumping flooded basements, storm and sanitary pipe, TV inspection, and other cleanup work. Today, GapVax has grown to become the Industry Leader through superior service personnel and industrial accounts like coal power plants, steel mills, cement plants and paper mills. GapVax now designs and manufactures quality equipment, and has become a leading manufacturer of industrial vacuum equipment. GapVax vacuum trucks are renowned for the highly efficient filtration, low filter baghouse maintenance costs, and long filter bag service life. GapVax equipment can normally operate 1,500 to 2,000 hours before requiring a change of filter bags.
