Over the years we have appreciated the eye care our family has received at Koch. We are not happy that they now charge you extra for a prescription for contacts. The reasoning is that BCBS does not see contacts as a medical necessity. Why wasn't this an issue in the past? My insurance gets billed over $125+, but that is not enough for a contact prescription? Now eye doctors are looking to tact on fees for services once a part of their work? $20 for them to write out the same contact lens prescription. $40 if it changes? Why does it cost more if it changes? Suggest you do your home work, and find an eye doctor who is reasonable and fair.
