      Dr. Matthew Bednar has been providing family dental care in Polk City from 1982 to 2001 and in Johnston, IA, from 2000 till the present. We have many of our original patients. Dr. Bednar is located in Foxboro Square at the corner of 86th Street and 62nd Avenue for the past 12 years. He and his staff strive to provide a comfortable atmosphere for adults and children. We offer a state of the art facility and provide excellent patient care. Dr. Bednar will explain all of your treatment options so you can make an informed treatment decision. We offer: • Cosmetic dentistry • All glass crowns and metal based crowns • Implants and veneers • Composite restorations that help reinforce your teeth after they need to be restored • Silver fillings may help you split teeth since it does not bond to tooth structure • Tooth extraction and periodontal (gum) surgery • Dentures and implant crown construction We love to see kids and we can start when they are two. It is best to be cavity-free and prevention starts at home. If you limit sugar, brush thoroughly for two minutes three times a day, floss or water pick and use a little extra fluoride, you will never experience new decay. Many of the medications people take may dry your mouth, making it easier for the bacteria to stick to teeth, leading to rampant decay. Simple water intake many times a day and custom fluoride trays will improve avoiding these conditions immensely. Call us today for an appointment.

      I would not recommend to take the dental appointment with him if you are new patient. He charged me extra dollars for the unnecessary checkup in my bill.
