The Johnson City Water & Sewer Services Department is governed by the City of Johnson City in Tennessee. The department is responsible for the maintenance of water and sewer infrastructures. Operational since 1989, it operates wastewater and water treatment plants. The Johnson City Water & Sewer Services Department also manages more than 10 reservoirs and booster and lift stations. It provides engineering, line maintenance and meter reading solutions. The department operates a billing division. The City of Johnson City manages a finance department that processes and collects water bills and prepares capital improvement budgets. The city government additionally operates planning, public safety, and parks and recreation departments.
