With offices in Kingsport and Johnson City, we are easily accessible to the Northeast Tennessee / Southwest Virginia / Western North Carolina / Eastern Kentucky region and beyond. Our Firm was involved in the drafting of the founding documents for the City of Kingsport and thus has had the privilege of providing counsel to many of the region’s large manufacturers, lenders and major institutions. Our connections with the business community have also provided the opportunity for us to have longstanding client relationships with local public governments and quasi-governmental bodies, including airport commissions, city, county and regional economic development partnerships, industrial development boars, and health, education and housing facility boards. HS&D lawyers were active employment law practitioners in the early part of the 20th century and that work intensified with the passage of the National Labor Relations Act, providing a strong legacy in the labor and employment arena We know the region, its major influencers and its culture.
