Unsympathetic, incompetent, very expensive, find someone else!

The vet, Dr. Steve Holowinski, is fantastic. He was very nice, answered all of my questions, and was understanding and willing to work with me. He is the best vet I've seen in Broome County. He did seem a little frazzled and upset on one of his surgery days, but, he was nothing but nice to me and my pet.Certain vet techs/receptionists (not all, one girl was especially nice and respectful) ruin the experience. They behave inappropriately. They are rude and catty. The women trash talk clients right in front of you, and even have the nerve to say things about you when you are giving them your hard earned money. I can't believe the amount of people who work for vets, and hospitals as well, that lack any compassion or understanding. Yes, sometimes health issues can't wait, or people have to reschedule/cancel appointments due to emergencies or financial difficulties. It's not to screw you over personally or because they don't care. Look around this area and see the amount of poverty and sad, suffering stray cats. You are lucky there are still enough people who can afford vet care here. I thank God I can help my pet when in need. I don't think poorly of those who are struggling or choose to go to another vet because of a situation that is worsening or could become an emergency.

I would never recommend this Veterinary Hospital again! I had taken my pets there for years so I can appreciate others who like me thought they were great. That is until we went to have our pet euthanized.The dog had cancer and was getting too tired and uncomfortable so we knew it was time. We went and were told they would give a small dose of medicine and we could say our goodbyes. They must have forgotten about the dog because she was practically gone when they brought him back. he was so out of it and scared and my children were tramitized watching the dog go in such an inhuman way! We were then practically rushed out the door! 7 days later I called before 5 pm to complain, I was told they'll call me Monday because of after hour euthanizing and then they leave right away! Then I realized why we had been rushed out! They were closing and only stayed to euthanize your dog, clean up and forget overdosed dog,give family 5 minutes to say goodbye,then they hurry home! Horrible rate-(-10)

Absolutely disgusted with this office!! Used to bring our dog here and haven't been in a few years.. Our dogs foot has a bad infection so I called them and they're more worried about where we've been taking our dog the last few years and why can't we take her to the other place we've been taking her rather than trying to help us with our poor dog!! I'm calling them for a reason because obviously I'm trying to bring her there.. These vet offices nowadays are all about money they're money grubbers.. They were insulted that we stopped going to them so they refuse to see my dog.. So do these people care more about money or the animals?? I think I found that answer

We have been taking my dog there for about 7-8 years. The front desk staff is very friendly and Dr. Holowinski is very gentle and kind. We even chose the Vet when we needed to have her kennel-ed for a few days because we trust them with our dog.

I love Dr. Holowinski, Debbie and his staff, they are fantastic!! They are kind, careing and patient and I would never take my animals any place else. I've been a customer since he's moved his Veterinary Hospital to JC and I've recommended him to others and will continue to do so. I trust him and his staff considerablly.

Would never take my pet to another veterinarian. We have been with the vet for over 20 years. The girls in the office are very friendly and Dr. Holowinski is very kind and caring. He always has time to patiently answer questions and is excellent with the animals. His prices are very reasonable and his hours are good. He is up-to-date with his knowledge and equipment. We are lucky to have him in our area.
