Hanger Prosthetics/Orthotics in Johnson City, N.Y. is a VERY POOR EXAMPLE of a healthcare business. Even as a long term customer (over 20 yrs) THEY, WITHOUT ADVANCE WARNING OR NOTIFICATION, discontinued medical equipment sales & service; LEAVING ME & COUNTLESS OTHERS IN THE LURCH! Those of us that PURCHASED OUR WHEELCHAIRS & WALKERS FROM THIS COMPANY HAVE BEEN ABANDONED BY THEM! THEY OFFER NO VIABLE ALTERNATIVE SO THAT WE MIGHT HAVE THE FAULTY EQUIPMENT SOLD TO US BY THEM REPAIRED. When speaking to them about this situation they display a very cavalier, amused at our dilemma attitude; albeit this was caused by THEIR UN-CARING ACTIONS! Given this horrible turn of events I whole heartedly advise any potential customer of theirs to research in earnest other provider options.
