Its services include energy and cooling production, power marketing, district heating and resource recovery. The company s projects use a range of refuse-derived and fossil fuels, including natural gas, oil, coal and petroleum. It maintains baseload, intermediate and peaking units to provide power to meet day-to-day needs, as well as during peak periods. NRG Energy has supplied more than 24,000 mega watt of energy to its projects and is a member of USCAP. Its subsidiaries include NRG Thermal, NRG Engine Services and Padoma Wind Power. Headquartered in Princeton, N.J., NRG Energy also has operations in Australia and Europe.
