Post Elementary School promotes the academic, social, moral, physical and emotional growth of students in kindergarten through grade five. It has an enrollment of more than 950 students and is located in Houston. The school s core curriculum includes reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, technology applications, health and physical education, music and theatre arts. Post Elementary School s staff consists of counselors, nurses, diagnosticians, speech and language clinicians, dyslexia specialists and content-area liaisons. Its learning resource center houses supplemental multimedia materials and a variety of recreational and informational books. The school also provides gifted and talented programs in language arts and mathematics. It additionally offers bilingual and English as a Second Language programs. Post Elementary School s enrichment activities feature tutorial sessions, cultural arts programs, academic competitions and field trips.
