Morlees Footwear and Apparel A Jersey City institution! Morlees is a family owned and operated business founded in 1965 by Morton Lee Grodner (Morlee) and his brother Jack Grodner. After his brother's death, Morton ran the store with his nephew Lenny. Morlees began as a Men's Store that sold leisure suits. Then in the early 1980's Morlees became the first Nike account in Jersey City and transformed itself into Jersey City 's premier Hip Hop store. Always at the forefront of street fashion Morlees offers the newest and freshest styles for Jersey City 's hip hop customer. Recently, as hip hop style has evolved and downtown Jersey City has transformed. Morlees continues to have footwear and clothing suitable for all of downtown Jersey City 's diverse residents and their children.
