I show up on Wednesday, I told the mechanic that I had a problem with rough idle. I stated that 6 month previous my EGR valve was cleaned out fixing the problem. I told him that I am having the same symptoms, but I don't know if that was the problem, thats why I brought it to him. At this time my engine light came on. Mechanic told me to bring in Friday and he would take a look at it.I drop car off, mechanic calls later, says EGR valve is working fine. He would look into it and let me know what he finds. he calls back, says the EGR valve sensor is bad, and I authorize the work. He calls back and says work is done and the car is running fine. I pick up the car, and drive 2 blocks and the car started with same problems. I directly turn around and take it back. The mechanic stated that I never told him about the rough idle and he only pulled the code for the engine light and fixed that problem. I say that is not why I took the car to him, and he did not fix what is asked.
