The Ashe County Board of Education is a part of Ashe County Schools and works for the development of the district s schools. Ashe County Schools includes Ashe County High School, Ashe County Middle School, Blue Ridge Elementary School and Mountain View Elementary School. Ashe County Schools serves students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its schools offer various athletic activities, such as baseball, basketball, cheerleading, golf, softball, and track and field. Each school of the district maintains a parent organization, as well as operates libraries.
