West Jackson County Middle School is affiliated with the Jackson County School District and enrolls more than 700 students in grades six through eight. Located in Jefferson, Ga., its curriculum includes foreign languages, science, social studies, agriculture, math, art, music, computer technology and physical education. The school offers various sports activities, such as football, cross-country, basketball, soccer, golf and volleyball. It offers special education programs for gifted students. The school organizes various events, such as fall socials, fund-raisers, theater production and field trips. It also offers counseling and cafeteria services to its students. It also provides library, media center and computer laboratory facilities.
