The Division of Fire Safety provides proactive statutory enforcement, regulatory oversight and education services to protect the lives and property of the residents of Missouri from the devastation of fires, explosions and life safety perils. It offers training services for emergency response personnel in the areas of hazardous material awareness and operation, certification of firefighters, and fire investigation and inspection. The division also provides inspection and issuance of operating permits for boilers and pressure vessels. The Division of Fire Safety regulates the sale and use of fire works and licensure of operators for pyrotechnic displays. It is located in Jefferson City, Mo.
