General Info
Kathlyn Klein is a board-certified physician assistant practicing in the hand and upper extremity department. She obtained her undergraduate degree and earned her physician assistant studies degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Katie’s practice is focused on hand and upper extremity care with special interests in carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's, tendonitis, trigger finger, and wrist, thumb, and hand arthritis. Other medical interests include bursitis, cortisone injections, deformity correction, fracture nonunion, fractures, metastatic bone disease, microsurgery, osteomyelitis, plastic and reconstructive surgery, repetitive motion injury, strains and sprains, and skeletal trauma. Katie is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is also a member of both the American and the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants. Katie and her partner, Kevin, have six nieces and nephews whom they adore! They also have a dog and two cats. In her time away from work, besides being a beekeeper, she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, cross country skiing, cooking, hobby farming, listening to music, and watching movies. Katie is involved with many community groups including Second Harvest Food Bank, Primates, Inc., NAMI, and the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin. They love to travel. Their favorites have been seeing the Hubbard Glacier calving in Alaska, which they reported as awesome, and experiencing the amazing rain forest in Costa Rica. I love helping people and providing compassionate care. It is very satisfying to guide patients through their recovery process and to be there for them during a difficult time. - Kathlyn Klein, PA-C
