Jamesville Maintenance Facility is managed by the Department of Transportation, which is governed by Onondaga County in New York. The department is responsible for the maintenance and care of more than 800 miles of roads and over 200 bridge structures. The Department of Transportation manages an engineering section that issues highway work and access permits, as well as reviews planning board cases and construction engineering survey activities. The department also works to provide maintenance solutions for roads and culverts. It administers a drug and alcohol testing program. The Department of Transportation offers stream cleaning, bridge design and snow removal solutions.
