Just Buried Our Puppy - We adopted a puppy from this shelter 6 weeks ago and were told she was 8 weeks old, however, after taking her to the vet recommended by the staff we were informed that she was only 5 weeks old and was too young for adoption. After numerous trips to the vet with conditions ranging from worms to distemper, we watched our puppy wither away and suffer because of the poor conditions at this facility. Although we support rescuing animals, we do not support inhumane high-kill shelters such as this one that are kept in such a deplorable state. No one at the veterinarian's office was surprised to hear that she had come from this shelter, but that she was the sickest they had seen in some time. Today after our puppy was laid to rest, we were advised to steer clear of animal shelters in this area and deal only with reputable breeders. RIP Gabrielle
