In response to the review about the sharp nails, PetSmart has a service that is called nail grinding. It rounds off the edges of the nails and makes them smooth. When a dog gets its nails clipped, they ARE very sharp and ragged. Also, it was mentioned that they were clipped close to the quick. That is another indication that they clipped them correctly and as short as possible. They did all that was included with the price. Puppy trims are only $15.99. It's a great deal! Also, there are very few, if not no, salons out there that will grind the nails for free. It will be an additional cost almost anywhere you go.

This store is not good for grooming I took my 4 month old Bichon Frise for what they listed as puppy special grooming. They trim the eyes and nose area, bath and claimed they trim nails. well when I pick up my puppy the nails were sharp and ragged I ask if they could file them & smooth them out but they said that it wasn't included and i would have to pay and additional eleven dollars for that. I've never heard of such a thing i left the store came home and gently file & smooth my puppy's nails which by the way were cut very close to the nerve so it took me a while to smooth the nails. For this reason I would not use PetSmart for grooming

Because I have never been a pet owner, I have visited PetSmart, and the other two "big pet stores" to see which one I will continue to give my business to. After visiting all three, but not all of each companies locations, I am hooked on PetSmart. They are kind and considerate, and go out of their way to be helpful. One of the others felt unfriendly to me, only because of the lighting and high prices, although they did have a good selection. I would not visit the last one again if my cat were starving, I would just run to the local grocery! PetSmart's selection, prices, and customer service are above average, and I will continue to give them all of my business.
