The Jacksonville Lymphedema Clinic provides therapeutic treatment for lymphostatic lymphedema, whether primary or secondary. Complete decongestive therapy is also their area of expertise. Trained and committed staff provide health and wellness services related to lymphedema management. Patients are equipped with a Combined Decongestive Therapy (CDT) plan of care along with manual lymph drainage (MLD), compression garments and bandage supplies. Education for self management is an important part of the patient services. The clinic also provides remedial exercises, breathing exercises, as well as lessons in skin care and hygiene. Their expertise also includes adhesion release, softening scar tissue and making them flatter, so that they do not limit the patientsÕ range of motion.
