I called in a take-out order for three catfish dinners late this afternoon. We live two miles south of SD's so it was back at our house in 30 minutes The absolute best catfish I have ever tasted!! Everything was perfection. The place was packed by 5:00 pm and I see why with food that good Real nice folks working there also. We'll be back, I can promise you that!

If you like great BBQ and catfish this is the place to be...The BBQ nachos are excellent as well as the BBQ potato and the Ribs are the best this side of the river...

I have been twice now and both times the food was wonderful. The pulled pork is great, wonderfully moist, and the brisket is so tender when you touch it with a fork it falls apart. My husband says its the best brisket he's ever had. I'm traditionally a mustard based bbq sauce girl, but the smokin sauce has a little kick to it and I love it. The sides are also very tasty! All around great food. I will certainly be back again.

I am not sure where Guest 29764 ate but it certainly wasn't at the Smokin Buns we eat at! The service is excellent, the food is great, I cannot image that the management, if told, did not do everything possible to correct anything that this guest found wrong. This is our favorite place to eat and we have never experienced anything like #29764 is talking about. Give them another try and I bet you will love it!

I was in town visiting a friend and wanted to try out some good bbq. So i did a google search for some good bbq and saw that this place had great reviews so I decided to give this place a try. Well all i can say is that this place was not good at all. I bit into my bbq sandwich and there was a hair that got caught in my teeth. It was so gross I wanted to puke. The staff there is not very friendly either. I told my waitress and she all she said was that everyone has to put their hair up. She did not even offer to make me a new sandwich or take care of my tab. I just think that when something like this happens in a restaurant, you should at least get an apolgy. But I left there with nothing not an apology or a new sandwich. I will tell everyone I know and won't ever be back.

i personally love this place.... i love the southern hospitality and positive atmosphere this restaurant offers. The only suggestion i have is the hours of operation... they are closed on i believe Sunday and Monday.. I know there has been more than 2 occurrences Ive tried to go there to eat and they were closed on a unusual day. Other than that its one of the best and only places to grab a bite to eat past the back gate, out here in the country...:)(

My wife and I have eaten at Smokin Buns many times and have found the food very good. We have had BBQ pork, pork ribs, brisket, and fried catfish. Also, the sides (french fries, fried onion rings, cole slaw and BBQ beans) are good. All of the food is freshly prepared and good. The place does get full at times especially on Friday nights after 5 pm. We time our visits at other times. Good food! We will be back.

This is our favorite place to eat, we have tried everything on the menu at least once. Haven't found anything that is not good. Staff and owners are very friendly. If you go in the evening go early or prepare to wait on a table. The food is well worth the wait, you have to try the fried pies or the molton chocolate cake. The fish is awesome, good meaty pieces, lightly breaded, and not over fried. We highly recommend this five star restaurant.

I loved the place and have heard from several people how great the food is. I have not found bbq as good as this since I lived back in san antonio. You wont be disappointed. We go there once a week.

Then it took forever before the waitress even came and got our drink order. Everyone was standing around in a group talking to eachother. Very bad customer service. We will find somewhere else to go for bbq next time. This place is ran by nothing but kids. Will will not be returning.

No complaints. The food has been good every time we have been there. Only once we got a server that didn't seem to work very speedily. Of course, that's when we had a couple of toddlers with us who needed to have quick service. They are usually very good though!

I have eaten at "Smokin' Buns" twice and I was very pleased. I particularly like the fried green tomatoes. I have also had the BBQ baked potato. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

FANTASTIC BBQ! ALL of the meat is good quality and tastes great! The sides are also very very good! The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting, and the kids liked their food as well. Word to the wise, make sure you're hungry, as the portions are good sized. Even though you seat yourself, be prepared to wait for a table to open and be cleaned. The wait is well worth it though!!!

The brisket is great. The ribs are awesome. The sides are excellent. The atmosphere is inviting. The prices are reasonable. This is a great place for Bar-B-Que. They also have a military discount.

Beef brisket was the best, my wife loves the fish and pork bbq sandwich. Restaurant looks the part and the food was excellent. The prices are affordable. Hint: try the chocalate molten cake! Superb!!!!!!!
