Alabama Physical Rehabilitation Service has several locations throughout Alabama including one in Jacksonville, Ala. It is a provider of physical medicine programs that utilizes prevention, rehabilitation and maintenance protocols to enhance a healthier lifestyle for the citizens of the service area. The programs include aquatic therapy that utilizes water to provide a comfortable, relaxing environment for exercising while increasing the participant's circulation. Aquatic water therapy decreases stress on joints, muscles and ligaments, and allows those with weak muscles or limited weight bearing ability to advance their exercise program. Alabama Physical Rehabilitation Service also offers other programs that include occupational therapy, fibromyalgia, speech therapy and pediatric programs.
