Welcome to Psychological Services, located in Jackson, Tennessee. We have served the Jackson and West Tennessee surrounding areas for over 25 years. Psychological Services is an organization which utilizes many seasoned professionals in psychology, thus ensuring you or your loved one will receive the highest level of care. All of our specialists are highly trained and will provide responsible care exceeding your expectations. Two of our specialists are even nationally recognized in their fields! Dr. Lynne Zager, has served as an expert witness in many important court cases. Additionally, Dr. Paul Brown is a board certified and nationally recognized expert in child and adolescent psychology and has served as an expert witness at the state, national, and federal levels. Services offered by a variety of specialists include complete psychological evaluations of both children and adults, consultation services, and intervention recommendations. Our specialists have a large range of evaluation experience. State of the art intellectual assessment, behavioral assessment, assessment of cognitive processing disorders, and academic achievement testing are conducted. Evaluation of cognitive exceptionalities such as Intellectual Giftedness is also offered. Diagnosis of childhood and adult emotional disorders, conduct disorders, and assessment of need for specialized treatment can be provided. Mr. Altfeld has many years of experience conducting independent evaluations to determine whether a disability exists that allows for possible eligibility for special education in the public school system or accommodations in private school or college settings. In addition, Amy vanBuuren's experience as a school psychologist and specialized training in dyslexia gives parents another resource to help their child suspected of having a reading disability.
