Biography of Company Owners: ALGIE BROOME, President and co-owner of Sound and Communications, Inc., has been employed full-time by the Company since 1957. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1956 and has been a Registered Professional Engineer since 1960. He was a member of the Steering Committee which founded the National Sound and Communications Association (NSCA) in 1980 and was a National Director of that organization in 1983 and 1984. DAVID EDMONDS is Vice President and co-owner of Sound and Communications, Inc., and has been employed full-time with the Company since 1969. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University in 1967 and his MBA, also from Mississippi State University, in 1969. He actively participates in many seminars on acoustical design and sound system design and has done so consistently over the past 38 years.

Sound and Communications, Inc. was organized in 1955 to serve the commercial, industrial, and institutional sound and intercommunications needs of Mississippi. Since that time, Sound and Communications, Inc. has grown with the commercial audio and communications industry, and today is the largest company of its type in the state, and one of the largest sound contractors in the Southeast. As the audio market has progressed into the Audio/Visual world Sound and Communications has evolved to include video distribution and presentation systems as well.
